Donald Trump’s Truth Social has yet to make it to the Google Play Store.
According to a Google statement first reported by Axios, the app will remain unavailable on the Play Store until effective systems for moderating user-generated content are implemented.
“On Aug. 19, we notified Truth Social of several violations of standard policies in their current app submission and reiterated that having effective systems for moderating user-generated content is a condition of our terms of service for any app to go live on Google Play,” Google said on Aug. 30.
“Last week Truth Social wrote back acknowledging our feedback and saying that they are working on addressing these issues,” Google added, according to Axios.
The Google Play Store holdup leaves millions of smartphone users across the country without access to the app. According to StatCounter, 44% of the mobile operating system market share in the U.S is held by Android.
