Over 900 Office Depot and OfficeMax stores are now available to shop through the Uber Eats platform, Uber and Office Depot said in a joint statement on Aug. 15.

From printing paper and toner to notebooks, backpacks, and binders, thousands of everyday school and office essentials can now be purchased directly from the mobile app via the simple touch of a button.

The partnership arrives just in time for the new school year.

“We know this is the busiest time of year for many, with back to school and even going back to the office, at Uber, we’re always looking for ways to make peoples’ lives easier by helping them get whatever they need—whenever they need it—delivered to their doorstep,” Christian Freese, head of New Verticals for Uber Eats in the US & Canada, said in the statement. “Whether it’s a printer paper shortage or a school project glue stick emergency, Uber Eats customers can find what they need to handle any business or school supply need with Office Depot on the platform.”

As a bonus, Uber One members will receive free delivery and a 5% discount on all Office Depot orders with a minimum of $15.

The on-demand delivery option is a first for Uber. While services like grocery delivery have been available since July 2020 on the platform, Office Depot is the first office supply retailer to land on Uber Eats.
